Celebrating – Catholic Workbook (Grade 5 Religious Education)

This workbook covers the Celebrating strand in the Grade 5 Catholic Religion curriculum for Ontario schools.

This workbook helps students explore the healing power of the sacraments, with a special focus on the Sacrament of the Sick. Students will learn how the Holy Spirit and the ministry of the priest work together to bring healing, restore relationships, and offer new life through this sacrament.

Aligned with key curriculum expectations, this resource also examines the liturgy of the Mass, deepening students’ understanding of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and how it unites us in faith. Additionally, students will explore the Liturgical Year, discovering how it celebrates the mysteries of Christ’s life and honours the saints as role models of Christian living.

Through scripture readings, reflection questions, and engaging activities, students will develop a meaningful understanding of how these sacred traditions shape their faith journey.
