Grade 1 Media Literacy Ontario

In this workbook, students learn about Media Literacy aligned with the NEW 2023 Grade 1 Ontario Language Curriculum.

Students will learn about media purpose, topic selection, identifying target audiences, diverse forms of media, conventions, and powerful media techniques. Through thoughtfully curated worksheets, they will expand their vocabulary, learn media skills in scaffolded activities, and complete small projects that encourage creativity and critical thinking.

Additionally, students will develop and apply the skills needed to interact safely and responsibly in online environments, using digital and media tools to construct knowledge and demonstrate learning as critical consumers and creators of media.
