Grade 2 Shared Reading Bundle

This Shared Readings and Lesson Plans BUNDLE resource for Grade 2 Language includes 61 original texts perfect for shared reading, along with a 7-page lesson plan and 18 pages of activity worksheets for each season (fall, winter, spring, summer).Shared reading is an interactive reading experience that engages students with a text that is at a level slightly above what they can read on their own. It is meant to be a 15-20 minute daily literacy component.

This resource is intended to be used for a full year. Readings connect to each season, as well as Grade 2 social studies and health topics. Each text (reading) can be used for one week (5-days) during the language and literacy block.

Lesson plans are aligned with the NEW 2023 Ontario Language Curriculum (Strand B. Foundations of Language and Strand C. Comprehension)
