This FRENCH resource includes 5 FINAL PROJECTS for each of the units in the Grade 8 Ontario Health curriculum (Programme de santé de l’Ontario – 8e année).
Projects included:
1. Plan d’action pour une alimentation saine (Alimentation saine)
- Students will analyze their current eating habits and then create a personalized action plan to make healthier food choices. Through this project, they will explore how small changes in their diet can lead to significant benefits for their overall health and well-being. This engaging process will help them understand the impact of their food choices and encourage them to develop better nutritional habits.
2. Vidéo sur la prévention des blessures (Sécurité personnelle et prévention des blessures)
- Students will produce an informative and engaging video on injury prevention. They will identify common causes of injuries, describe safety behaviours to reduce risks, and showcase strategies to prevent accidents and promote a safer environment at school, home, and in the community.
3. Infographie sur la consommation de substances (Consommation de substances dépendance et comportements associés)
- Students will design an eye-catching and informative infographic that highlights the warning signs of problematic substance use and its impacts on health and behaviour. They will also include prevention strategies and resources to help peers make informed choices and avoid substance-related issues.
4. Article de blog sur la santé sexuelle (Développement de la personne et santé sexuelle)
- Students will write a detailed blog post on a topic related to sexual health, aimed at providing accurate and supportive information to teenagers. They will research their chosen topic, present the information in an engaging and understandable manner, and offer practical advice and resources for their peers.
5. Application de bien-être mental (Littératie en santé mentale)
- Students will design a phone app that promotes mental wellness and resilience among their peers. They will research effective coping strategies and healthy habits, brainstorm app features, create design mockups, and present their app concept, explaining how it supports mental health and well-being.
