This assignment allows students to learn what it is like to act as a Human Resource professional by learning about the considerations associated with employee training and development.
Using the slideshow provided, students will learn about considerations as well as the process of performing a Task Analysis. Students will be required to have a conversation with an individual employed in their chosen career to gather information to complete this assignment. Though it can be modified to have an online research component instead.
Topics covered in this resource include: training vs. development, performance management, benefits of performance management, extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, six steps of a task analysis, job descriptions, and employee motivational theories.
