Le jour du Souvenir : cahier de poésie (Grade 1-3 French)

This Le jour du Souvenir (Remembrance Day) package contains French Literacy activities and includes poetry and reading comprehension worksheets to allow Grade 1-3 students to think about our Veterans and the people who have been impacted by war.

There are 2 different reading comprehension activities (text and questions) about Remembrance Day and poppies. Both reading comprehension activities are provided at two levels (Level A – High and Level B – Low) to help you differentiate the readings with your learners. There is also a poetry study of John McCrae’s “In Flanders Fields” (en français – Au champ d’honneur) which lead students to make their own Remembrance Day French poems.
