Living in Solidarity – Catholic Workbook (Grade 7 Religious Education)

This workbook covers the Living in Solidarity strand in the Grade 7 Catholic Religion curriculum for Ontario schools.

This workbook helps students explore the sacraments of service and how they provide the grace needed to live out their vocations as Catholic Christians. Through engaging activities, students will examine the significance of Holy Orders and Matrimony in building strong families, communities, and a just society. They will reflect on how these sacraments empower individuals to serve others and fulfill their calling in the world.

Additionally, this resource introduces students to the principle of human solidarity as a key Christian virtue. They will explore how sharing material and spiritual goods fosters unity and how personal and communal conversion strengthens society. Through discussions and activities, students will also learn how Christianity engages in meaningful dialogue with the world’s major religions by recognizing shared elements such as places of worship, rituals, prayers, symbols, and core beliefs.
