This workbook covers the Living in Solidarity strand in the Grade 8 Catholic Religion curriculum for Ontario schools.
This workbook invites students to explore their role in society through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching. Students will develop an understanding of human dignity (the belief that each person is made in the image and likeness of God) and how this truth calls us to work for the common good, respect one another, and actively participate in building a just and compassionate world.
Aligned with curriculum expectations, this resource highlights the Christian social virtues of responsibility and participation. Through engaging reflections, discussions, and real-life scenarios, students will discover how living out these values means taking on roles of leadership, witnessing to the Gospel, and promoting justice in their communities and beyond.
