Because students are already exposed to media, it’s important to teach them how to navigate it from a young age.
2. Analyze Advertisements: Use advertisements as a tool to teach media literacy. Analyze the messages that advertisements convey and the tactics they use to persuade viewers.
3. Encourage Critical Thinking: Encourage students to ask questions and think critically about the media they are consuming. Teach them to consider the source of the information and to question whether the information is reliable.
