Christmas Around the World is a Grade 5-8 religion project designed to promote multiculturalism and learning in the classroom!

Students will work in groups or individually to research how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world. Students will require multiple work periods to choose a country with a large Christian community. Students will research how to say Merry Christmas in that language. They will also look up traditions and interesting facts, and create a visual and oral presentation for their country of choice.

The goal of the assignment is for students to explore and compare how Christmas traditions are celebrated in different countries.
