This resource includes 5 FINAL PROJECTS for each of the units in the Grade 4 Ontario Health curriculum.
Projects included:
1. Fuel Up for the Big Game! (Healthy Eating)
- Students will demonstrate their knowledge about healthy eating habits by making a brochure that recommends 3 healthy snack options fans could enjoy at a major sporting event.
2. Digital Detective (Personal Safety and Injury Prevention)
- Students will embark on a digital detective journey, tasked with educating their peers on internet and device safety. They will create an engaging slideshow with 10 tips for online safety.
3. Tune into Health! (Substance Use, Addictions, and Related Behaviours)
- Students will create a radio announcement aimed at raising awareness about the detrimental effects of smoking or vaping. They will emphasize the significance of making healthy lifestyle choices to promote well-being.
4. Personal Care Comic (Human Development and Sexual Health)
- Students will demonstrate their understanding of puberty and personal hygiene. Through a comic strip, they will illustrate three essential hygiene habits, showcasing their artistic talents while educating others.
5. Coping Strategies Booklet (Mental Health Literacy)
- Students will compile a booklet featuring various coping strategies, such as drawing, yoga, or music, to equip themselves and others with tools for navigating challenges effectively.
