This workbook covers the Substance Use, Addictions, and Related Behaviours unit in the Grade 6 Ontario Health Curriculum (2019).
In this workbook, students will learn about substance use and its various influences. They will explore topics such as prescription medications, psychoactive drugs, illegal drugs, opioids, depressants, alcohol, stimulants, nicotine, and cannabis.
Students will compare different drugs, conduct substance research, and take a quiz on psychoactive drugs. They will also examine peer pressure, personal values, and the influence of these values on decisions regarding substance use.
