This engaging Squish Leaf Painting Art Project is a fun fall and autumn art lesson designed for Grades 1–3. It is broken down into clear, step-by-step instructions, so it can be taught by any classroom teacher, even if art is not your specialty!
Students will explore warm and cool colours, symmetry and printmaking techniques as they create a colourful autumn leaf artwork. The contrast between the warm leaf and cool background creates an eye-catching finished artwork that is perfect for a fall bulletin board display. This elementary art project encourages experimentation and creative expression.
