This engaging Winter Hat Texture Art Project is a fun winter art lesson designed for Grades 1–3. It is broken down into clear, step-by-step instructions, so it can be taught by any classroom teacher, even if art is not your specialty!
Students will explore actual texture and visual texture as they create a colourful mixed-media winter hat. They will use crayons or pencil crayons to draw five different visual textures, including fuzzy, rough, bumpy, woolly and woven textures.
