Grade 2 WRITING UNITS Bundle (Printable + Google Slides™)

This BUNDLE contains FOUR Writing Units for Grade 2 students, with EVERYTHING you need – worksheets, slides, and an engaging culminating task – to get your students excited about writing. Four Grade 2 Writing units are included: Paragraph Writing, Procedural Writing, Letter Writing, and Story Writing.

This resource is completely aligned with the NEW 2023 Grade 2 Ontario Language Curriculum. Each page is linked to a specific expectation in the Ontario curriculum, which is indicated at the bottom of each page for easy teacher reference.

Each unit has a 4-page Lesson Plan for teacher use (with expectations, learning goal/success criteria, possible accommodations, and assessment strategies). The lesson plans have suggested activities/discussion topics and appropriate pacing for 20 days worth of 30 to 45-minute lessons. The units could be easily shortened or stretched as needed.

Worksheets: Students will enjoy completing a scaffolded workbook that teaches important writing. All workbooks together total up to 204 pages of student worksheets!

Slides: Slides are included to help you introduce each concept to students. Slides also include interactive components where students type or drag-and-drop their answers directly on the slide. There are 280 Slides included across the 4 units.
