This engaging Farmer’s Field Crayon Resist Art project is designed for Grades 1-3, and can be used by any teacher (Even if art isn’t your specialty!!).
Students will create a landscape scene of a farmer’s field using different types of lines to showcase their understanding of line art. They will explore crayon resist techniques by drawing in crayon and painting over their design with watercolours or tempera paint.
Art Materials Needed:
- White watercolour paper
- Crayons (assorted colours)
- Watercolours or tempera paint cakes (or tempera paint mixed with warm water)
- Paintbrushes
- Paper towels or cloths for clean-up
